Though she has been writing poetry since age 16, Taylor began building her brand, Poetry by TLB, in 2019—expanding to offer custom poem canvases, original merchandise, and more.

Her books chronicle her voyage to understand love and her role in the world throughout the transformative years of womanhood, focusing on themes of relationships, memory, mental health, healing, feminism, and social justice.

Taylor began reciting her poetry at local open mics in 2022 and fell in love with the energy they exuded. In November 2024, Taylor launched her own quarterly open mic series in Baltimore, fulfilling her dream of hosting and creating space for free expression and authentic connection.

Since October 2025, she has offered custom, on-demand typewriter poetry at events, connecting with strangers and sending them home with their very own hand-typed poems, based on any subjects of their choosing.

Her creative identity is captured in the emblematic tagline from her first book: "she would not settle for being anything less than aflame”—language that embodies her experiences of femininity and intensity.
